The menu includes hearty rich dishes and traditional cooking influenced by the mountainous terrain and blend of cultures.

❄️ Alpenmarkt Toddy
A warming blend of Knob Creek 9yr infused with ricola, Meletti amaro, Bonal gentiane-quina, and lemon. Like strolling through a winter market with a hot mug in hand.

🍫 Chalet Hot Cocoa
Swiss chocolate, Ovaltine, nutmeg, cinnamon, kirsch, and pine schnapps. A cozy cocktail you would find in Switzerland after hitting the slopes.

🍾 Plum du Mont 75
Plum gin, génépy liqueur, lemon, pine bitters, and prosecco. A sparkling nod to the mountains.

🍷 Glühwein Spritz
Campari infused with warm spices, Zweigelt mulled wine, pomegranate, and prosecco. A festive twist on a European classic.

🌰 Noci Dolomiti
Frangelico, crème de noyaux, praline, Nux Alpina walnut liqueur, and cream. Rich, nutty, and a perfect nightcap.

Sauerbraten
A traditional German dish.
One of our signature menu items at Bormio.

The beef short rib marinates for 4 days in a mixture of vinegar, red wine, juniper berries, rosemary, sage, bay leaf and other Alpine spices.
This tenderizes and flavors the meat before it is braised.
The end result is a rich hearty dish that overly satisfies the taste buds.

Served with creamy polenta, house-made crème fraiche, and fresh dill.

Braulio Amaro is where the inspiration for Bormio (and our name) began.

This amaro is a true expression of the Italian Alps and Alpine Europe — named after Mount Braulio and produced in the town of Bormio, located in Lombardy, Italy.

When you think of Bormio, imagine a mountain town that embraces the changing seasons and celebrates comfort food shaped by a blend of cultures along the Alpine Crest. Italy, France, Switzerland, and Austria all leave their mark here.

That same spirit is what we bring to our restaurant, Bormio. Come in for a drink, and you’ll find yourself staying for the cuisine.

The menu suite at Bormio tells a story of
hikes in the mountains, love of Alpine cuisine, embracing the European culture, and drinking the local wine.

Inspiration for this design comes from an artist’s travel journal who went backpacking in Germany and France along with a precious stack of dusty 1970s National Geographic magazines on Alpine Europe.

We are back open this week from summer break and full of new stories, flavors, and inspiration!

Time away was not only for rest and recharge, but also for exploration of Alpine cuisine and culture. We tasted, and learned from the source and are excited to bring home ideas that deepen the way we cook and connect.

What we’ve gathered from this trip: alpine air, hiking, rustic traditions, mountain cooking, the breath taking views of the Dolomites, new found love for Austrian and German cuisine, simple and refined meals, and a renewed sense of why we do this.
